Impol and Salchi Metalcoat team up to give a facelift to 2018 FIFA World Cup Venue
The Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
The Luzhniki Statium was built in 1956 and is located in Moscow. It boasts 80,000 seats and was selected to host the opening and final matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In preparartion for the World Cup, the stadium underwent a complete renovation which required an investment of over EUR 350 million. It included the creation of an upper band in pre-painted aluminum, for which a coatings made with Kynar 500® PVDF resin from Salchi Metalcoat were used to ensure that the exterior appearance of the building will remain intact for decades. The Olympic Gold colored pre-painted aluminum used for the Luzhniki Stadium was coated by Impol Seval, a company based in Sevojno, Serbia, which is a division of IMPOL group with the head office in Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenia.
